What Not To Miss At Belize Connection

Belize seems to have a sample of everything a global tourist would ever desire. The Belize connection serves captivating attraction that can never be found anywhere else in the world. It combines natural scenery, amenities and activities to occupy your time. The charges for all these sites and activities are reasonable guaranteeing value for money.

Fun divers and snorkelers will appreciate the Abergris Caye that is situated 25 miles north of the entry point. It serves as a gateway to spectacular barrier reefs that surround the island. At the end of your snorkeling and diving tours, you are welcome to sample the luxury hotels, restaurants, lounges and shops that dot the island. This is a spectacular island with no cars. You have to depend on golf carts and bicycles.

There is a natural invitation to the Blue Hole that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an impressive scuba site that offers access to underground caverns, rock formations and tunnels. You will have a spectacular view of cave walls with April-May being the best time to visit the hole. It is an opportunity to dive 410 meters below sea level.

There is the three mile wide Hol Chan Marine Reserve that offers an incredible marine life serving. This sanctuary is home to a large number and variety of stingrays, eels and sharks. There are aquatic creatures that will blow your mind. For scuba divers, the experience is rewarding. From the information center, you can select your desired range of activities in order to maximize your time and resources. This reserve opens to visitors on daily basis from 9am to 5pm.

Caye Caulker is a quiet town 20miles from the city. The local inhabitants are very few. It offers excellent sporting and fishing opportunities with kayaking lovers and sailors having a field day. The split brought about by the 1960 Hattie Hurricane creates an enviable dynamic in the area. For those not interested water and related activities, there are shops, restaurants and hotels with great foods to sample. The town allows you to walk bare feet and experience freedom from gadgets and shoes.

To the west is a collection of ancient Mayan dwellings verdant jungles, gorgeous sunsets, tranquil butterfly gardens and rolling hills to enjoy. This is around a small town called San Ignacio that bears the gifts of affordable hotels and traditional culinary dishes. Along the Western Highway is the Caracol Archeological Reserve with archeological structures in different stages of excavation.

The Placencia is a stretch for those who want to live along the Connection for long. It features calm Caribbean waters with beach front villas for those not in a hurry. A wildlife sanctuary and Mayan sites are nearby to occupy your time while you are there. The Monkey River offers encounters with boas, crocodiles, howler monkeys and iguanas for wildlife lovers. Kriol or Creole dishes will reward your palate.

Belize City is the center of all these activities and attractions. It is divided by the Haulover Creek yet connected by the Swing Bridge. Around the defined north and south districts are Mayan ruins, cays and rural rain forests to enjoy. Life along the connection is affordable with efficient transport and communication to accommodate tourists from any corner of the world.
